Short Biography

Born in Odesa region, Lopushynska graduated from Moscow Institute of Architecture in 1946. For half a century, between 1946 and 1996, she worked at UkrNDIproiektrestavratsia (Ukrainian State Scientific-Research and Design Institute of Restauration).

She received the Order of the Badge of Honor for her work on the Golden Gate complex and the State Prize of Ukraine in the Field of Architecture (1991) for her work on the restoration of the church of St. John the Baptist in Kerch.

Work

Among her works are the Khan’s palace in Bakhchisaray, Crimea (1953-1967), Mufti-Jami Mosque in Feodosia, Crimea (1969-1973), the church of St. John the Baptist in Kerch, Crimea (1968–1991), the Golden Gate in Kyiv (1980-1982), the 16th-century Medzhybizh Fortress (1970-1989).
