Born in Poltava in 1937, Anishchenko graduated from Kyiv Art Institute in 1960. Upon graduation, she worked in KyivZNDIEP (Ukranian Zonal Research and Design Institute for Civil Construction), often in collaboration with Natalya Chmutina. During the 1960s and 70s, Anishchenko specialized in designing large domed buildings, such as market halls and arenas in Kyiv and other cities. Bold experiments in construction, these projects were outcomes of Anishchenko’s research, which she also published in leading professional journals.
She was a recipient of the State Prize of Ukrainian Socialist Republic in Science and Technology (1982) and received the title of Distinguished Architect of Ukrainian Socialist Republic (1985).
Among her projects are the Railway Market Hall in Kyiv (1973), covered market halls in Cherkasy (1972), Kharkiv and Rivne (1979), as well as in Makhachkala, Dagestan, Russia (1988). Anishchenko also designed the department store on Pecherska Square in Kyiv (1984), Lybid’ Hotel in Kyiv (1970), and a resort complex in Sychavka, Odesa region (1994). She was also responsible for the reconstruction of the Republican Stadium in Kyiv (now the National Sports Complex “Olympic”; 1966-67, 1978-80).
