Short Biography

Born in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Loboda graduated from Kharkiv Institute of Engineering and Construction in 1941. She spent her entire professional career at Kyivproekt design and research institute, where she became project head and the head of departments of unification and standardization of design solutions, and of the typification of interior design.

She was awarded the prize Council of Ministers of the USSR (1969) for the project of a poultry farm in the village of Kalita, Kyiv region.

Upon retiring, Loboda became an activist in “Memorial,” a NGO that researches Stalinist repressions and supports human rights across the former Soviet Union.

Work

Most of Loboda’s projects were in Kyiv. Among them are the building of the Kyiv Institute of Communication (with Viktor Elizarov, 1949-1956), administrative buildings, schools, and residential buildings.
