Work

Dorothee Dubrau was involved, among other things, in the design planning for the large-scale building project Berlin-Marzahn under the direction of Heinz Graffunder. Later she was involved in inner-city housing projects and urban redevelopment. After the end of the GDR, she worked as a district councillor, as an architect and urban planner, as a lecturer, and most recently as mayor for urban development and construction in Leipzig, before retiring in 2020.

Since the 2000s she has published several writings on architecture and urban planning as well as on the GDR civil movement in an architectural context.
