Short Biography

In 1952, Wu became a faculty member of the Department of Architecture at Tongji University in Shanghai. At this time it was not common to work independently as a female architect, since society was more accepting of male architects. So most of her early designs were done in collaboration with her husband Fudong Dai. After  Lusheng Wu joined the Institute of High-Tech Architectural Technology and Design at Tongji University in 1972, she worked on several architectural projects with collaborators from the institute.

  • Meiling (梅岭) Guesthouse at the East Lake in Wuhan (1958)
  • Architecture school of Tongji University (1988)
  • Big Dipper Mountain Village, Shandong (1992)
  • Zunhua the International Hotel (1993)
