Short Biography and Work

Nivina (née Serobaba) was born in Kharkiv, where she studied at the Architecture Department of Kharkiv Institute of Engineering and Construction between 1937-1946. Upon graduation she moved to Lviv, where between 1946 and 1983 she worked at the Lviv branch of Dipromisto. In Lviv, she designed hotels Lviv (1959-62) and Dnestr (1972-82), and planned the Sriblyasty neighborhood (microdistrict; 1979). In 1980, she was awarded the Taras Shevchenko prize as a part of the team of architects and planners who worked on the Sriblyastyi microdistrict in Lviv.
