Short Biography and Work

Furmanova graduated from the Architecture Department of Kharkiv Institute of Engineering and Construction in 1950. Upon graduating, she worked at design institutes Oblproekt, Kharkiv branch of Dipromisto, and Kharkivproekt, where she was a long-term head of the workshop that designed typified and individual projects.

Among her projects are: sports and culture center Kommunar in Kharkiv (with Borys Klein), Kharkiv Hotel (with Borys Klein, 1976), the Palace of Young Pioneers, Krivyi Rih.
