Work

Buchute designed over fifty buildings during her career. Among the most important works is the building of the Lithuanian National Theatre for Opera and Ballet. It was built in 1974 and is located in Vilnius. The theatre hall can seat up to 1,200 people. In the late 1970s, it was one of the largest and most modern cultural buildings in the Baltic States.

Seven years earlier, also under her direction, the building of the Ministry of Agriculture and the Republican Design Institute for Land Management (Institute of Land Use Design) was built.

In 1988, she designed a complex of consumer service enterprises in the Novaya Vilna (Vilnius) district, including a police station.
Another important construction of the architect was the Defence Headquarters of the Ministry of Territorial Protection around 1998. The building of the government agency is also located in the capital of Lithuania.
