Short Biography and Work

Born in Proskuriv (contemporary Khmelnitskiy), Belyaeva graduated from Kyiv Institute of Engineering and Construction in 1958. During the 1960s, she worked as urban planner, designing masterplans for parks and cities, including Oleksandria dendrarium in Bila Tserkva (1961), towns of Skvyr (1960) and Ivankov (1962) in Kyiv region, Gorodok (1963) and Shepetivka (1964) in Khmelnitskiy region, Chernihov (1964) and Khmelnitskiy (1965). Most of her subsequent work dealt with sanatoriums and other recreational and resort buildings. Among those are the sanatorium complex in Truskavets, pioneer camp Chayka in Alushta, Crimea (1979), as well as sanatoriums Moskva (1980-1981) and Kyiv (1986), and V. Korobkov pioneer camp (1989), all in Alushta. The project of Chayka pioneer camp brought Belyaeva the State Prize of the USSR.
