Leuchanka (Russian Levchenko) was born in Novocherkassk, Rostov region, Russia in 1925 in the family of an employee. She participated in the Second World War, working at the front line aircraft repair workshops since 1942. In 1949, she graduated from Kharkiv Institute of Engineering and Construction.
Upon graduation, she briefly worked as an architect in Volgograd, Russia, before moving to the Brest branch of Beldzyarzhpraekt, where she remained for the rest of her career, moving from a regular architect to chief specialist. At the institute, she designed residential and public buildings for Brest and its surroundings, where were heavily destroyed in the war. Among her projects are multiple residential buildings in Brest and the planning of residential areas in the south of the city (1959-1962). She also designed the House of Construction Organizations (1966), the buildings of Brest Engineering and Construction Institute (1967), hotel Belarus (1971), and the building of experimental high school № 10 with architectural and artistic focus (1979). Leuchanka was honored as a distinguished architect of Belarus in 1971.
